What to check besides the price
- What is included and what is clearly out
- Who supplies materials, and at what quality
- How many work days, and when they can start
- What happens if the site adds work
Put both quotes on the same project, with the supplier name and the amount. Then you are not approving a file that lives only in email.
Choose, then close the scope
After you choose, send the supplier one short note: what was approved, what was not, and when they start. Keep it next to the budget.
A short comparison before approval avoids an extra in the middle of the job and a fight about what was “included”.
